Jan van der Putten is a financial executive with 15+ years’ achievement leading successful cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), integrations and joint ventures.

From 2008 until 2019, Jan worked at Royal DSM NV, a global, purpose-led, science-based company active in Nutrition, Health and Sustainable Living, with sales of EUR 9bn. In his last position as Vice President Strategy & Acquisitions Asia, he was responsible for all acquisitions and integrations in China. Jan was also part of the management team of the hydrocolloids business unit, where he provided overall leadership including the building of a high- performance team. Before that, Jan was Vice President M&A, and divested and acquired several businesses for DSM.

Prior to joining DSM, Jan worked in roles in corporate finance and M&A for:

-UBS (Media, Telecoms & Technology) in London and San Francisco

-Morgan Stanley Technology Group in Hong Kong and Menlo Park

-ABN AMRO (M&A Execution) in Amsterdam
